Giant of Monti Prama

Giant of Monti Prama is an incredible archeological discovery dating back 1974.
These statues, made of sandstones about 2 meters tall, were found by shepherds accidentally in a rural aerea close to Cabras, Monti Prama, and today exhibited in National Archaeological Museum in Cagliari and in the Civic Museum in Cabras.
What the archeologists discovered was that they were divided into five archers, four warriors, sixteen boxers and thirteen models of nuraghe.
Their function is still shrouded in mystery and I am looking forward to seeing the results of new investigations, that will hopefully reveal why they were sculptured and whom they we paid tribute.
